Offer support to youngsters during a community art project in Lissabon and Utrecht in making of short documentary and editing
Job Description:
During the community arts project "Under Construction" which takes place simultaneously in Lissabon (Pt) and Utrecht (NL) one of the main parts is making videos.
As a part of Zoey's team you will be responsible of inspiring and helping jungsters (age 16-25) use a camera, make interesting recordings, upload material in the computer and make short edits of the material that was recorded each day. This video-material will bet hen added to the special website that is reserved for the project. As this project takes place in two cities at the same time: Utrecht NL and Lissabon PT, you will also be asked to communicate on a daily basis with the team in the other country.
We offer a month contract to two recent graduates (up to three years experience) who are available for an immediate start, from December 1st. One graduate student works in Lissabon, the other in Utrecht, simultaneously.
General Responsibilities:
- Create and apply a presentation on your work at the Kick off of the project (Utrecht and/or Lissabon).
- Provide material for the youngsters to activate and inspire them to be able to start with their own audio-visual project.
- Manage and update the video work of the youngsters daily and place it on the webpage of the project
Additional Responsibilities:
- Show effective project time management.
- Ability to follow and inspire youngsters; give creative input during the project days.
- Acquire and share knowledge/skills.
- Understand the project concept and processes and project efficiency.
- Assist the team as needed with video skills.
- Show self-motivation, drive and the desire to learn and grow professionally.
Specific Skills:
- Bachelor degree in Art/Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Audio-visual Media and Film or related.
- Willingness to travel is required (one graduate stays 11 days in Utrecht, The Netherlands).
- Strong videoediting, presentation and communication skills.
- Experience with mac computers, i-movie or final cut and/or ps, moviemaker or premiere pro
- Ability to edit and apply appropriate materials to webpage.
- A strong eye for detail and refinement.
Ability to effectively interface and communicate with youngsters and an international team in english
