Account Director – £50 – 55k – Central London
Our client is looking to introduce an accomplished digital account director to boost its account management department.
Vodafone
Vodafone is the agency’s biggest account and is split into five different areas. This role will require the AD to specialise in running the B2B business within the team. This is not a 100% B2B role but it is expected to be 60%. The brand is very forward thinking and looks to the agency to lead both creatively and strategically giving us scope to do some fantastic, challenging work in a hugely competitive market. The brand is looking to really challenge this year and cement its position as the world’s biggest mobile operator.
The agency has produced some incredible work over the 2.5 years and has won many awards for the creative as a result. The account has a comms bias but the agency has been producing everything from content through to Bluetooth work, digital outdoor and the more traditional online advertising and site work.
The Role
To oversee the effective management of the client’s business, ensuring that we build client trust and satisfaction across all aspects of the business. This role will set the direction of the account in a way that will create the best opportunity for great work.
It is the responsibility of the Account Director to set the tone of the team and to dictate the pace, structure and style of the account, as well as the relationship with key clients.
Key Skills
• Strong strategic understanding
• Experience across all of the digital disciplines including comms, site and other digital channels
• Strong client management skills are essential. Must maintain a fantastic and enviable relationship with the clients on a professional and personal level
• Knowledge of working in an agency environment and of agency systems and processes
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
• Demonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of financial management of whole account
• Project management skills
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic
• Ability to manage/mentor teams, both internally and externally
Metrics
• Must be an experienced Account Director
• Be educated to degree level, ideally within marketing/related subject
• Proven client services agency experience
• Supervises a small team
• Reports into the Senior GAD
• Budget responsibility
